TENACIOUS D (right), the self-proclaimed "greatest rock band in the world," closes out its national tour in Atlanta on DEC. 5, two weeks after the release of its first film and second album, both titled The Pick of Destiny. The comedy-rock duo, comprised of Kyle Gass and Jack Black, initially gained notoriety for absurd lyrics, cameos on HBO's "Mr. Show with Bob and David" and its own self-titled (and short-lived) HBO series. While the two parted ways during a five-year hiatus, the dual release of their film and album/soundtrack, coupled with Black's newfound cinematic celebrity, has packed large venues with fans eager to catch a live performance of the D's righteous power ballads. $42. 8 p.m. Arena at Gwinnett Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. 800-224-6422. www.ticketmaster.com.
