Where is holiday shopping a nightmare?

John: The Virginia-Highland area. If I'm buying something, they're nice to me. If I'm not, they take a look at what I'm wearing. If I walked in and wore designer jeans, I'd be waited on hand and foot. But since I'm wearing Carhartts and sandals and got long hair, they're not going to talk to me. They think their shit don't stink.

Mary Ann: North DeKalb Mall. You can have a pile of stuff in your hands, drop $300 bucks, and there's one girl at the register and somebody is returning something and your shopping experience turns into another hour. And when you do reach the register, the attitude is, "If you don't like it, you can put your shit down and leave."

Celeste: Discount stores like T.J. Maxx or Marshalls. They're packed with racks and racks of clothes. You have to dig and dig. People become irate. If you go, plan on spending three hours in there. The clothes are on the floor. The clothes are dirty. People are stepping on them. The holiday decorations are outdated or broken.
