If science fiction, pop culture and modernist paintings could sprout legs and walk, IF THIS AIN'T A MESS IT'LL DO TILL THE MESS GETS HERE might be what they would look like. SCAD alumnus Chris Scarborough draws, paints and photographs a radical portrait of the future of society following some undefined apocalyptic event. The speculative exhibition presents a precise and recognizable future, if not a little bizarre and askew. Expect to see fragmented versions of familiar people and things. Through Jan. 2. Free. Tues., Thurs., Sat., 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Wed., Fri., 1-6 p.m. Marcia Wood Gallery, 263 Walker St. 404-827-0030. www.marciawoodgallery.com.
