It's so irritating when the beautiful people also happen to possess actual talent. While globe-trotting from photo shoot to photo shoot as a fashion model, born-and-bred Atlantan Tierney Gearon compiled a Polaroid scrapbook of her travels. Her little art project turned into much more when it was sniffed out by a Parisian agent. She's since collected tidy paychecks from Harper's Bazaar, French Vogue and Details, as well as fashion houses Perry Ellis and Kate Spade. Gearon continues her investigation of the home and family with her latest exhibition, EXPLOSURE, which superimposes two unrelated images and combines them into one via double exposure. Also on display is fellow native Todd Murphy's Sovereign Tree, a series of large-scale photographs that threads together segments of a tree in a vein similar to 17th-century Dutch landscape paintings.
