Titus Brooks Heagins is a documentary photographer who seeks to bring social issues to light around the world. For DURHAM STORIES: NOT HELL BUT YOU CAN SEE IT FROM HERE, however, the Durham, N.C., resident stayed close to home to photograph inner-city residents who defy urban stereotypes. The exhibition features photograph and video portraits of hidden residents who live in a low-income, high-crime area that, despite the accelerated economic activity of the rest of the city, has yet to see a similar influx of money and development. Through May 3. Free. Opening reception, 7 p.m.; Fri., noon-4 p.m.; Sat.-Sun., noon-7 p.m.; and by appointment. Composition Gallery, 1388 McLendon Ave. 678-982-9764. www.compositiongallery.com.
