KING DJANGO -- The bold career of Jeff "King Django" Baker could fill a book. He's spent the last two decades singing and playing various instruments for a handful of NYC-based ska, reggae and hardcore outfits, including Murphy's Law the Boilers, Skinnerbox and the Stubborn All-Stars. During that time, he's made the unusual but valid connection between his musical roots in reggae and ska, and his Jewish heritage. His solo albums have been his most eclectic turns, incorporating dub, dancehall, rap, rock and klezmer music. Somber Reptile (Peisner)
