Theater: Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks

Thurs., Jan. 3

A Southern Baptist widow and a gay dance instructor from New York strike up an unlikely friendship in Richard Alfieri's play SIX DANCE LESSONS IN SIX WEEKS, opening Thurs., JAN. 3, at Georgia Ensemble Theatre. GET artistic director Robert J. Farley directs the reliably impressive Jackie Prucha and Robert Egizio in the two leading roles, which have attracted some famous actors in prior productions. At the Los Angeles, New York and London performances, respectively, the couple were played by Uta Hagen and David Hyde Pierce; Polly Bergen and Mark Hamill; and Claire Bloom and Billy Zane. Even in such august company, Prucha and Egizio should prove they don't have two left feet. For more on Egizio, see Culture Surfing. Through Jan. 20. $23-$33. Wed., 7:30 p.m.; Thurs.-Sat., 8 p.m.; Sun., 2:30 p.m. 950 Forrest St., Roswell. 770-641-1260.
