True Colors Theatre Company relocates its perennial holiday favorite BLACK NATIVITY to the Southwest Arts Center, which should offer a warm reception for Langston Hughes' musical interpretation of the Christmas story. To quote last year's review of the show, "The first half of Black Nativity offers a vibrant swirl of African-American gospel songs and African costumes, suggesting the nativity story by way of the Broadway Lion King," while the second half takes place in a more contemporary church setting. Patdro Harris directs and choreographs the show, with musical direction from JMichael. Through Dec. 27. $20-$30. Tues.-Fri., 8 p.m.; Sat., 2:30 and 8 p.m.; Sun., 2:30 p.m. 915 New Hope Road. 877-725-8849. www.truecolorstheatre.org.
