Fans of the Victorian-era adventure story – or its contemporary homage, the steampunk genre – should enjoy Theatrical Outfit's visit to one of the source writers, Jules Verne. In Mark Brown's condensed adaptation of AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, Theatrical Outfit artistic director Tom Key plays unflappable Phileas Fogg and Paul Hester his capable manservant, Passepartout, who take a bet to circumnavigate the globe in 1872, before the aviation era. The cast includes Bill Murphey and the father-daughter team of James and Kate Donadio, sharing a stage for the first time. Through Nov. 8. $35-$40. Wed.-Sat., 7:30 p.m.; Sun., 2:30 p.m. Balzer Theater at Herren's, 84 Luckie St. 678-528-1500. www.theatricaloutfit.org.
