Not to sound unpatriotic, but the United States is notorious for having some of the most ugly and drab currency in the world. The new dollar designs, motivated primarily to thwart counterfeiters, also make modest aesthetic improvements. I particularly like the new $10, introduced in March of 2006, with the shiny, reddish accents on "We The People" and the Liberty torch, not to mention the more prominent, "popping" portrait of Alexander Hamilton. Now all I need is more Hamiltons in my wallet.
