A 36-year-old man on Anderson Road said he and his boyfriend argued over a cat, after which his boyfriend hit him in the head with an iron pipe. The boyfriend admitted to the incident.

A 29-year-old man advertised on the Internet that he was having an adult party on a Friday night at a hotel on Peachtree Road. The party would include strippers, booze and other adult entertainment. Admission was $20 advance, $30 at the door. Police read the advertisement and sent officers to the hotel suite Friday night. Police ascertained that the 29-year-old was selling alcohol without a permit. Nude women were dancing and stripping for the men at the party. The 29-year-old went to jail, and 17 others were ticketed.

A 28-year-old woman on Mayson Turner Road said she received harassing phone calls from a 27-year-old woman, who is about 5 feet tall and 250 pounds. The 28-year-old believes the caller has stolen mail out of her mailbox, because the caller speaks of the amount of her bills and how much is due. The caller also read the 28-year-old's Social Security number to her. Also, she said, the caller describes what her children have been wearing, as if she is watching them.

At a grocery store on Piedmont Avenue, a security guard saw a 34-year-old man leave the store carrying an eight-piece fried chicken box and a soft drink. The man didn't pay for either the food or drink. It was 10:45 a.m. Just one hour later, the 34-year-old returned to the store and picked up a box of hot wings and another soft drink. He started to leave the store without paying for the meal. The security guard asked him what he was doing. The man said he was sorry, he was hungry and he had a drug problem.

An undercover officer was in a car at the intersection of Northside Drive and North Avenue when he was approached by a 37-year-old woman in green pants. The woman said, "That bitch only sells flex (fake crack). I can take you into the bluff and get you real hard (crack) for $5." She was taken to jail.

The owner of a convenience store on Moreland Avenue saw a 40-year-old man grab a can of Spam, shove it down his pants and try to leave the store without paying. The man was charged with shoplifting. The Spam was worth $2.79.

A police officer opened the trunk of a police car and found a Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner. "It is unknown who the owner is, and it didn't appear damaged," wrote the officer. The vacuum cleaner was turned in as evidence.

A 34-year-old man was walking home with some groceries when a young man approached him. The man was about 20 years old. "Let's go spend some money together," the young man said. "No," replied the 34-year-old.

The young man pulled out a gun and shot the 34-year-old in the foot. The young man said nothing and walked away.

A 25-year-old Marietta man was driving on I-75 near Mt. Paran Road. He said the driver of a silver Mercedes Benz got angry about some road construction and that he was driving slowly. He said the driver of the Benz pulled out a gun and shot at his car.

At a hotel on Pine Street, a 35-year-old woman said a drug dealer hit her in the face because she was buying drugs from another dealer. She said the dealer was in Room 139. An officer went to Room 139, but it was empty. The hotel manager said the woman could not return to the hotel, because she had spit on the man (the alleged drug dealer) and she was the aggressor.

An officer responded to a call at a bakery on Bailey Street. At the bakery, a 37-year-old man said he delivered 13,350 loaves of bread to a food warehouse in Villa Rica. The next day, the 37-year-old received a call from a man at the warehouse, who said that while processing the bread, he found nails inside the bread. The 37-year-old started an internal investigation at the bakery and found a box of nails located less than 30 feet from the bread loaves.

After drinking too much, a 21-year-old woman said she and her husband, age 29, stayed overnight at a friend's house on DeKalb Avenue. The husband fell asleep. Upon waking up, the husband started arguing with his wife. The husband poured a beer on her and crushed the can on her forehead. The wife started screaming, and the husband put his fingers down her throat. He then released her and fled the scene. When police arrived, the wife said she didn't need medical attention. The husband, who has numerous tattoos, wore a white tank top, black jeans and black boots.

An officer responded to a fight on LaSalle Way that involved a knife, ax and shovel -- and two brothers. The brothers, age 38 and 50, live with their mother, who is 69 years old. The 38-year-old brother said during an argument, the older brother hit him in the head with a pistol. The 50-year-old said they were arguing about their mother's credit card, and his younger brother hit him in the head with a 2-by-4 piece of wood. The mother said her sons fight frequently because sometimes they will not share their drugs. Both sons were charged with aggravated assault.
