When: Dec. 12-14, 8 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 15, 3 p.m. 2013
The experimental dance series Tanz Farm returns to the Goat Farm with performances by visiting New York-based choreographer Sidra Bell and the Goat Farm’s own resident choreographer Lauri Stallings’ gloATL dance company. Bell arrives on the heels of her recent work choreographing Test, a feature film about a dance company surviving the AIDS crisis in mid-’80s San Francisco. Curators describe her recent work as “haunting, emotionally transporting, complex, articulate, sensual, and highly physical.” Stallings’ latest performance promises to be centered around a physical installation, perhaps not unlike the Hippodrome stage that made such an impression earlier this year. Performances runs Thursday-Sunday at 8 p.m., but Bell will also be on hand throughout the weekend for workshops and conversation.
