Sleek spot for cocktails or pre-show dining at the Woodruff Arts Center.
Table 1280 is the de rigueur place to dine before a show, but the restaurant is struggling to navigate a number of different needs. The theater crowd is the bread and butter, but catering mainly to them – to getting food out quickly and without incident – takes away from the more subtle pleasures of true fine dining. The menu is lovely in its simplicity, and the space speaks of a restaurant that should be at the center of the city's attention.
