See & Do

SUNDAY 19

Music
Madonna has as many detractors as ardent fans, but no matter what your stance on the Queen of Pop, everyone will be talking about her DROWNED WORLD TOUR when it blows through Philips Arena AUG. 19-20. Featuring a tightly choreographed set of dancers, the concert includes mostly songs from her latest albums. Whatever she's singing, let's just hope she doesn't (cough) come down with laryngitis. Party
After you've experienced the Material Mom, Karma wants you to join its after party to honor her at MUSE. Featuring DJ Tracy Young from Miami, purportedly Madonna's favorite house DJ, there also will be opening sets by DJ Biff. $10 with ticket stub, $12 without. 79 Poplar St. 404-577-6967.

Theater fund raiser
It might conjure up interminable days of reading Romeo & Juliet in freshman English, but Soul-stice Repertory's BARD-A-THON will be 10 hours of Shakespeare's poetry and prose. The fund raiser AUG. 19 is designed as a reading marathon to benefit the theater's 2002 season. Readers get pledges and must raise at least $25 to read. Already scheduled are readings of Titus Andronicus, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, the Sonnets and many others. Let the reading begin 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Art Farm, 835 Wylie Ave., Cabbagetown. For more information, call 770-591-3036.
