When: Sat., June 12, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. 2010

Beer and soccer fans unite at Cabbagetown Park to watch the United States kick off its World Cup bid on a 9-by-12-foot LED screen, against England for the first time since 1960. Cabbagetown SoccerFest collaborates with FIFA and the Atlanta World Cup Bid Committee to put on a green, sustainable festival, and proceeds benefit FIFA’s sponsored charity, SOS Children’s Villages. Festivities begin early with a live broadcast of the Argentina vs. Nigeria game at 10 a.m. and soccer activities for kids throughout the day.
