The High is hoping to draw crowds with its latest big-name exhibition, MICHELANGELO: DRAWINGS AND OTHER TREASURES FROM THE CASA BUONARROTI, FLORENCE, opening on JUNE 23 and running until Sept. 2. The exhibit will feature 24 drawings, including preliminary sketches for the Sistine Chapel (Madonna and Child,XXX), architectural studies for the San Lorenzo complex and personal sketches and writings from his notebooks. Paintings From the Age of Michelangelo in the Kress Collection and Art of the Architect will accompany the exhibit as part of the High's "Italian Summer" theme. Tired of the same ol' strip tease? The Dames Aflame storm the Star Community Bar with their burlesque theatre show, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S STEAM on JUNE 23. The show is designed to be more tease than tell, exploring the forbidden and exotic through performances reminiscent of what organizers Eva Wynne-Warren and Greg Theakston call the "re-emerging art of Burlesque Theatre." Jim Stacy, member of the all-clown band Greasepaint, will emcee the evening. $8. 437 Moreland Ave. 404-681-9018.
