Live music
BRITNEY SPEARS proves in her HBO concert that not everyone can lip-synch well, and that she has a long way before she ever joins the ranks of Madonna. With her tight low-cut jump suits and pyrotechnic-rigged rotating stage, Spears storms Philips Arena DEC. 15 with dancers and rain-machine in tow. How long will Britney-mania last? See her now or take your chances. $41.50-$67. 7:30 p.m. Philips Arena, One Philips Way. 404-249-6400. -- JP

Benefit run
Strap on your bells for DEC. 15's JINGLE JOG. The 14th annual event includes a 5K run, a 2K junior jog and an elf run. A kids craft area and UPN Prize Walk add to the fun, along with the music from the Salvation Army Band. Remember to drop off a donation at the Salvation Army toy drive. Registration $15-$20. 8 a.m. Costco, 6350 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody. 770-888-9481. www.jinglejog.com. -- JP
