DANIELE BRUSASCHETTO, TERMINAL I.F. -- The new project from CL contributor Mitchell Foy, Terminal I.F. retains the dark and arty elements of his long-time project Pineal Ventana, but with heavier emphasis on psychedelic loops and samples. Brusaschetto's brand of music can be likened to '70s Italian horror soundtracks with a thumbs up to Bauhaus and Foetus. Just in time for Halloween. Lenny's (Khalid)

MAX ENGLISH, DIMITRI FROM PARIS, DJ KERI -- Max English spins edgy, almost techy, trance, while jet-setting Dimitri From Paris drops funky house and forgotten disco. Hometown DJ diva Keri fills out the bill with hard vocal house and tribal breaks. Velvet Room (Ware)

GEORGIA PHILHARMONIA -- If you're in a mood to support the home team, the locally based Georgia Philharmonia Orchestra's fall concert features violin prodigy Frank Huang, winner of the prestigious Hannover International Violin Competition. The program includes Mozart's Marriage of Figaro overture; Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 in G Minor (with soloist Huang), and Beethoven's Symphony No. 4 . For information, call 770-934-9530. Alpharetta First United Methodist Church (Brown)

EVELYN GLENNIE, ASO -- See listing for Thurs., Oct. 25. Symphony Hall (Madigan)

GOODIES -- Putting the good in the Goodies is Holiday Childress, who may be the most dynamic (and zaniest) frontman this region has seen. His songs are mini-operas peppered with blood and murder, told with loopy humor and daringly delivered while he dances atop high-heel boots, simultaneously playing wicked lead guitar. Smith's Olde Bar (Nicoll)

SCOTT HARDKISS, DERRICK MAY -- As part of Detroit's Belleville Three, Derrick May helped lay the foundation of techno with tracks like "Nude Photo" and "Strings of Life." Hardkiss, meanwhile, was over in San Francisco helping produce some of the most compelling tribal trance with his "brothers" and collaborators like Florida's Rabbit in the Moon. Expect this pair to keep the beat hard and the bass funky. eleven50 (Ware)

GRANT HART, ELENI MANDELL -- Hardcore Husker Du fans always acknowledged drummer/singer Hart's contributions, often over the more obvious ones from Bob Mould. Personal and professional problems kept him flying under the radar after the band's demise, making this a rare chance to see where he's at, and hopefully hear some HD chestnuts too. Mandell's Rickie Lee Jones-meets-PJ Harvey troubadour approach rounds out a double bill of offbeat pop. The Earl (Horowitz)

THE JUDYBATS, JOHN FAYE POWER TRIP, CHRIS HILLIS AND THE FORWARD THINKERS -- See Record Reviews, p. 108. Cotton Club (Ware)

YOSHIO KURAHASHI -- Kurahashi performs meditative solo pieces on the shakuhachi, the centuries-old Japanese bamboo flute. Performing Arts Studio/Emory (Sarig)

LIQUIFIED'S SEVEN-YEAR ANNIVERSARY PART 1 -- Influx and Liquid Groove celebrate seven years in the business of beats with an intimate evening of progressive house/trance led by the U.K.'s Quivver and Liquified's own Kazell. The Vault (Ware)

BRAD PAISLEY -- He's been touted as the one to watch in the revival of traditional country music, and he purt'near fits the bill. Anyway, he's a good singer, he has a bunch of good tunes and he loves his mama. Georgia Mountain Fair/Hiwassee (J. Kelly)

REHAB, LEIF GARRETT -- Atlanta duo Rehab produced one of the more memorable hip-hop albums of 2000 with Southern Discomfort. Rappers Danny Boone and Brooks parlayed their own personal histories of substance abuse into a darkly observed, frequently humorous, collection that runs the gamut from soul to hard rock. Along for the ride: former teen heartthrob Garrett (who spent his own fair share of time in rehab), and his rather tepid take on Kornesque, rap-metal as lead singer of the band F8. Masquerade (Robertson)

DIANE SCHUUR -- See article, p. 92. Ferst Center/Ga. Tech (Kaliss)

PHARRIS SCOTT -- See Earshot, p. 99. Sambuca Jazz Cafe (Powell)

SUPERCHUNK, THE GLANDS -- See Superchunk article, p. 83. As for canny retro-pop assimilators the Glands, if Athens has ever coughed up a band any more supernaturally attuned to British Invasion tradition, we'd like to know about it. Variety Playhouse (Rowland)

SEED & FEED SACRED HARP SINGING -- The tradition of shape-note singing from the Sacred Harp hymnal goes back 150 years in these parts. Though it nearly died off around mid-century, Kelly's Seed and Feed Theatre brought it back in 1976 and, while Kelly's is long gone, the hymn-singing gatherings have continued as an annual event. Open to all singers and listeners, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Call 404-377-6493 for more information. Embry Hills United Methodist Church (St. John)
