Atlanta isn't the only place eager to move on to a future of concrete as-far-as-the-eye-can-see growth at any cost. With a population of 1 billion and a land mass the size of -- well, China -- China is undergoing a dizzying embrace of capitalism and all its attendant pleasures and perils. New York-based artist Sze Tsung Leong has documented the cataclysmic changes in History Images, opening OCT. 7 at Kiang Gallery. His hazy, haunting images show whole cities of new apartment complexes, luxury high rises, tennis courts, parking lots and skyscrapers emerging from the misty rubble of the country's rapidly disappearing history. Free. 6-8 p.m. Gallery hours: Tues.-Fri., 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sat., noon-5 p.m. Through Nov. 12. 1545 Peachtree St., Suite 225. 404-892-5477.
