All-time "Jeopardy!" champ Ken Jennings recently published his second book, Ken Jennings' Trivia Almanac: 8,888 Questions in 365 Days. Jennings fills CL in on Mormons, virgins, moustaches and German art film. He comes to the Literary Center at the Margaret Mitchell House and Museum Tuesday, Feb. 5, to sign copies and host a trivia night.

Alex Trebek's moustache: "I'm a big-time fan of the moustache. I think he should bring back the moustache. Name another game-show host with a moustache. They're not like porn stars. He was a real trailblazer."

Crossword puzzles vs. the Jumble: "When I was a kid, me and my dad did the jumble every day. I'm sort of a crossword nut now. I actually went to the national crossword tournament in Connecticut a couple years ago and got to see these geniuses that can do a puzzle in a minute and a half."

"Pasty, hopeless virgins": "You know trivia people are not your traditional idea of a Trekkie or a comic-book nerd. These are people who know a lot of stuff probably because they're pretty engaged with the world. They're curious, they're social people by nature and as a result they're actually the interesting people – the people you want to be sitting next to on the plane."

The Mormon faith: "I think a lot of people were surprised that the guy winning on 'Jeopardy!' was the religious guy. I think the idea, assuming there's an afterlife, of all the things that you accumulate in this life that you can take with you, none of them are going to be material things. It's all going to be what you've learned."

Wim Wenders' Wings of Desire: "I was a big R.E.M. fan when I was in high school and Michael Stipe was always talking about Wim Wenders. I saw Wings of Desire once and didn't get it, but I thought, 'You know what? Michael Stipe – this guy knows what he's talking about,' as the prophet of my early '90s generation. I watched it again and I was blown away."
