Italian Grandmother Slow Food Dinner

This year’s dinner focuses on Jessica Theroux’s book Cooking with Italian Grandmothers: Recipes and Stories from Tuscany to Sicily, stories of the author’s 15 months in Italy, living and cooking with 12 Italian grandmothers. Valenza will honor the author with a decadent four-course prix-fixe meal, complete with wine pairings, a copy Theroux’s book and a commemorative book plate signed by the author.The menu will be marked by the dishes of Italy, specifically from the provinces visited by Theroux during her travels, and as always, Chef Matt Swickerath will lead a gastronomic occasion, using the best ingredients from Georgia’s sustainable farmers.
