MOTHER'S DAY FOR PEACE, an annual fundraising celebration held by Atlanta Women's Action for New Directions, implores Atlantans to wear their hearts on their sleeves for mamas and women around the world. This year's event boasts Pulitzer Prize-winning feminist author and Eatonton native Alice Walker as keynote speaker and honoree. Walker returns to her Georgia roots Tues., MAY 6, alongside the event's host, Spelman President Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum.
