Despite contributions to "Saturday Night Live," a few best-selling books and his acclaimed Air America radio show, Al Franken is probably best known as "the man most likely to piss off Bill O'Reilly." Franken-philes will be pleased to know that he's gracing Atlanta with two appearances in one week: On NOV. 30, he visits the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library to sign his latest tome, The Truth (with Jokes), and on DEC. 1, he jets over to the Variety Playhouse for a live taping of "The Al Franken Show." Both events are free but have first-come, first-serve seating, so show up early. Nov. 30: 7 p.m. 441 Freedom Parkway. 404-865-7100. www.jimmycarterlibrary.org. Dec. 1: noon-3 p.m. 1099 Euclid Ave. 404-524-7354. www.variety-playhouse.com.
