In 2000, four Emory students had a collective epiphany: Let's give our poor, idea-laden peers Apple laptops, camcorders and a week to make their own short movies. Thus CAMPUS MOVIEFEST was born, and seven years later has grown into the world's largest student movie-making event. Local bands participate in the soundtracks, making for an all-out indie orgy. The Wed., FEB. 28, grand finale features the top entries, local band performances and host Carson Daly. $5-$10. 6:30 p.m. Atlanta Symphony Hall, Woodruff Arts Center, 1280 Peachtree St. 404-733-4955. www.campusmoviefest.com.
