Celeb Talk: "America's Next Top Model" Eva Pigford was spotted at Castleberry Hill hot spot Slice last Wednesday. According to staff at the pizza and martini bar, Eva claimed she was 22 and ordered a drink. Suspicious, the bar staff checked the website for UPN, the channel that airs the show, and learned the model-turned-actress is only 19. Nice try, Eva.

Hotel Talk: The downtown Hyatt was ground zero for last week's National Association of Black Journalists' annual convention, and the hotel saw a fair share of high-profile visitors. On Thursday, Jesse Jackson was spotted trying to get a bite to eat inside the hotel before being stopped by tourists eager to take his picture. On Friday, Atlanta native and "BET Nightly News" anchor Jacque Reid was hanging out at the hotel with comedian Sheryl Underwood. And on Saturday, Stephen A. Smith, host of ESPN2's new talk show, "Quite Frankly," dropped by the hotel for an NABJ chapter party.

Movie Talk: Last weekend, Bishop Eddie Long of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church invited a group of VIPs to an advanced screening of The Gospel, due in theaters Oct. 7. The film's cast includes gospel chart-topper Donnie McClurkin and former model Boris Kodjoe. They both attended the screening, along with Bronner Bros. hair honcho and The Gospel's associate producer Bernard Bronner.

Shop Talk: Yet another modern and inexpensive home furnishings store is set to open at Atlantic Station, in late October. Like IKEA, West Elm's wares previously have only been available to Southerners via catalog. The Atlanta store will be the first in the Southeast for the Williams-Sonoma company. ... Another popular retail store will be coming to the revitalized Georgia Tech district at Spring Street. American Apparel, best known for its line of T-shirts, likely will open this fall.
