What will that Steve Yockey think up next? The young Atlanta playwright, who's currently attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for a master's in dramatic writing, writes shows with a dark streak a mile wide. Works such as Sleepy and Skin at Dad's Garage and Cartoon at Out of Hand Theatre explored physical and emotional violence. Actor's Express presents the world premiere of his latest full-length play, OCTOPUS, opening tonight, JAN. 24. The story involves a lustful night for four men, a mysterious telegram boy and a ravenous sea monster. Kate Warner directs Mitchell Anderson, John Benzinger, Brian Crawford, Tony Larkin and Joe Sykes. Through Feb. 23. $22-$27. Wed.-Sat., 8 p.m.; Sun., 5 p.m. 887 W. Marietta St. 404-607-7469. www.actors-express.com.
