Take three itchy, up-and-coming writers and three of Atlanta's most respected literary figures, throw in some ambient music and you've got Creative Loafing's seventh annual FICTION CONTEST PARTY. The event, which takes place TONIGHT, JAN. 10, at Eyedrum, celebrates the winning entries in our "scratch"-themed contest. The winners will read their works, as selected by authors/judges David Fulmer, Joshilyn Jackson and Fiona Zedde, who also will be available to sign copies of their latest works as provided by Bound to Be Read Books. (If you already have your own copies, bring 'em down.) Duet for Theremin and Lap Steel set the musical mood, with coffee and desserts compliments of Café Intermezzo. The event is co-sponsored by the Chattahoochee Review. Free. 7-9 p.m. 290 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Suite 8. 404-522-0655. www.eyedrum.org. Check out this week's cover story and read the winning submissions.
