When: Feb. 23-25, 8 p.m. 2012

Adapted by neal Ghant, Eugene Russell, Jahi Kearse and Richard Garner. Based on Oedipus Rex by Sophocles. Artistic Director of Georgia Shakespeare Richard Garner directs a workshop production of a new musical adaptation of Oedipus Rex. Combining the musical styles and experience of three of the co-creators—Neal Ghant (hip-hop/rap), Eugene Russell IV (jazz/hip-hop), and Jahi Kearse (neo-soul/jazz)—and featuring OU students, this workshop will play an instrumental role in the musical’s development, ultimately preparing it for a future Georgia Shakespeare season. Greek Tragedy never sounded so good.

Price: Free with Petrel Pass or $7 general admission. Tickets at door only.
