We racked our brains for a quirky, privately owned new restaurant that deserved this year's award, but the truth is that this has been the year of the corporate restaurant. Of the lot, this Brazilian churrascaria is by far the most appealing. Yes, it's kitschy and corporate at once, with gaucho-dressed servers wielding skewers of grilled meats for the Buckhead set. Apart from the costumes, there's nothing about the ambience to suggest Brazil (including the bland music). But the grilled specialties -- 15 of them -- are flawless and, served all-you-can-eat-style, a value at $35.50. Our advice: Barely nibble at the salad bar and don't sweat dessert.
