TERRAPIN RYE PALE ALE was first introduced in Athens in April 2002 at the Classic City Brew Fest. Later that year, it won an American Pale Ale Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival. Suddenly, everyone wanted a taste of Terrapin. The beers distinctive flavor comes from rye added to the hops and malts in the brewing process. The result is a fruity, refreshing brew. You cant find Terrapin everywhere only a handful of Atlanta spots carry it, the Vortex, Meehans and Smiths Olde Bar among them but its worth hunting for.
