Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name — and your favorite karaoke jams. On a scale of neighborhood bars, Pal's Lounge falls somewhere between "Cheers" and Harpo's juke joint from The Color Purple. And every Tuesday night, it serves as ground zero for YO! KARAOKE, the only such set in town that could make an episode of the "Soul Train" look stiff. Hosted by Sex Choc — that's short for Sexual Chocolate, alter-ego of Atlanta's acclaimed visual artist Fahamu Pecou — Yo! Karaoke is like a blue-light-in-the-basement house party where the ever-faithful Karaoke Disciples come to let their souls glow, crooning classics ranging from Ray Charles to Ray, Goodman & Brown. It really doesn't matter how well you can hold a note, as long as you come prepared to bust a gut. Free. 8 p.m.-midnight. Tuesdays. Pal's Lounge, 254 Auburn Ave. 404-963-0154.
