Carol Mitchell

comment
In the past year, Carol Mitchell has shown equal aplomb with texts as drastically different as the intellectually challenging The America Play and the warm 'n' fuzzy Robert Fulghum shows at Georgia Ensemble Theatre. But her transcendent moment came as Amanda Wingfield in PushPush Theater's African-American production of The Glass Menagerie, where she provided insight into the psyche of an African-American mother while staying true to Tennessee Williams' intent for the role as a fictionalized version of his own mother.
