Tucked back into a quaint neighborhood and situated on a bluff overlooking the Chattahoochee River on the very northwestern edge of the city, WHITTIER MILL PARK couldn't be more out-of-the-way. It also couldn't be more picturesque or historic, with an old brick tower — left over from the namesake Whittier Textile Mill — acting as the centerpiece of a well-trimmed grassy area, and the roofless remains of the mill's carpenter shop providing a rustic playground. Intersection of Spring Circle and Wales Avenue. www.whittiermillvillage.org.
