Intimate works on paper by painter Adam Vettriano. "It was impossible... to produce at the same pace of photography. The mass amounts of images of war were becoming just that: images. The overexposure to the images was desensitizing the impact of war. I realized my focus was on the composition, light, and the desaturation of color, and not the subject matter of war. No longer was I looking at the human condition, but becoming a product of human conditioning."
