When: Thu., Feb. 21, 7 p.m. 2013
As part of Black History Month, the Atlanta Collage Society is pleased to present an Evening with Larry Walker. Walker, a renowned collage and mixed-material artist, will be discussing the influences of other artists on his work and the historical importance of collage and its relevance today. He will discuss such artists as Romare Bearden, a fellow African-American artist who is often considered the pre-eminent collagist of the 20th century. This event is in conjunction with the exhibit Shared Visions by the Atlanta Collage Society currently on view in the Georgia room.
