Al Gore speaks about The Future

When: Fri., Feb. 1, 7 p.m. 2013

In the roughly 12 years since both winning and, ultimately, losing the 2000 election, Al Gore has worn a number of hats — bearded professor, environmental activist, media mogul — with varying degrees of success. With his new book, The Future, he finally returns to the job that got him noticed: writing. On Fri., Feb. 1, Gore will appear at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library at 7 p.m. to discuss, presumably, the "Six Drivers of Global Change" that subtitle his new work.
