A Place To Bury Strangers, Hunters, AkuYou

When: Tue., July 24, 8 p.m. 2012

Brooklyn trio A Place to Bury Strangers carries the shoegazer torch to sophisticated heights with its third album, Worship. Guitarist/vocalist Oliver Ackermann's skull-rattling din lets up allowing the group’s mangled, industrial-strength goth sensibilities to shine through a haze of distortion. With a current lineup that includes Dion Lunadon (bass) and Robi Gonzalez (drums), the group's thunderous dirges unfold — amid flickering shadows, blinding lights, and smoke — like an all-out assault on the senses.
