Remember Troy, that Brad Pitt, swords-and-sandals movie about the Trojan War? William Shakespeare himself took a stab at the epic tale with TROILUS AND CRESSIDA, one of his most weirdly interesting plays. In the current Shakespeare Tavern production, directed by artistic director Jeff Watkins, Troilus of Troy (Joshua Fargason) and Cressida of Greece (Lily Yancey Miller) are star-crossed lovers along the lines of Romeo and Juliet, only their tale turns into a quirky tragicomedy about love, sex and war's meaninglessness. Through DEC. 3. $10. Thurs.-Sat., 7:30 p.m.; Sun., 6:30 p.m. The New American Shakespeare Tavern, 499 Peachtree St. 404-874-5299. www.shakespearetavern.com.
